The Normal Heart, the groundbreaking play from writer Larry Kramer (Academy Award nominee, Women in Love), returns to Los Angeles in an exclusive revival. Not seen in L.A. for almost 20 years, the 2011 Tony Award winner for Best Broadway Revival will soon be an HBO movie. Set in New York in 1981, a circle of friends struggle to contain the mysterious disease ravaging New York's gay community. Dismissed by politicians, frustrated by doctors and fighting with each other, their differences could tear them apart -- or change the world. This groundbreaking play is an outrageous and unforgettable look at sexual politics during the AIDS crisis and remains one of theater's most powerful pieces. Learn More

Heart Song may have some flaws in its writing, but it is brilliant theatre and Stephen Sachs has created characters and themes that took me in completely. To intertwine Flamenco with Japanese, Black and Jewish culture could have had ludicrous consequences if the acting and direction had been other than excellent. The theatricality of the Flamenco juxtaposed with the stories of the three principal women worked beautifully and I was particularly moved by the performances of Pamela Dunlap and Juanita Jennings. It's a great evening at the theatre.
