Honoring celebrities, industry executives, and exceptional women who have provided others with hope, inspiration and compassion for others, the Inspiration Awards for Women will host a red carpet reception, awards gala, live performances from Opera to Broadway, and a silent auction.
Along with projecting positive images of women and promoting exceptional role models, the Inspiration Awards US has partnered with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Los Angeles County to raise awareness about breast cancer.
The first ever Inspiration Awards for Women in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer took place at London’s Cadogan Hall in October 2008 and has been a running success ever since. Past winners include Michelle Obama, Helen Mirren, Sandra Bullock, Emma Thompson and more. “I wanted to develop an event that recognized women for their valor, perseverance and grace”, says founder Sky Andrew.
This year the Inspiration Awards will be recognizing awe-inspiring women in front of an audience of 1,800 people; each nominee was carefully selected by a committee of esteemed judges. 12 winners will be chosen by a combination of these judges and online voting. These women epitomize what an “Inspirational” woman is and have projected a positive impact on society.
