Entertaining show, though I had hoped to hear more "American Songbook" tunes.Written on Oct 24 2011

I applaud her for being game, just maybe not so much on her game. I think the venue was a little to large and too fancy to fit some of her jokes and innuendos. They fell kind of flat and even, inappropriate. This would have played better in a smaller venue like the Cinegrill. She attempted a rap type number that was uncomfortable and even downright embarrassing. If one is going to attempt that kind of thing, it needs to be done a 110% or it will come off as a bad joke, and, disrespectful which this did. Her vocal range is a bit more limited than I thought. She reminds me of a latter day Pia Zadora. I kept thinking, who does she know to have gotten this venue for her cabaret debut. I really believe it would have been more enjoyable in a smaller, more intimate venue. The Disney Hall simply overshadowed her scope of ability.Written on Oct 24 2011
