Laugh out loud at a screening of Harold Lloyd’s comic masterpiece, Safety Last!, the way it was meant to be enjoyed -- with full, live orchestra accompaniment. Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra celebrates the art of the silent movie at its 17th Annual Silent Film & Gala on Saturday, June 3 at 8 pm at UCLA’s Royce Hall. The evening opens with Lloyd’s rarely seen 1919 comedy short, Ask Father, with a brand new score by composer/conductor Timothy Brock written just for this occasion. The music to Safety Last! is by Carl Davis, which Brock will conduct.
