This was the best play I've been to! Loved it!! I would pay full price to see it again. The only thing I would prefer is to see it in a larger venue, don't get me wrong, the Fountain Theatre was great and very intimate, but just so that more people could appreciate it in a larger venue.Written on Oct 12 2004

Description
Live music and sultry vocals will usher blues and jazz lovers back in time as the legendary jazz singer Billie Holiday comes to life in this powerfully moving musical drama featuring many of Holiday's most emotionally stirring songs.
The time is 1959 and the place is a small jazz bar in Phillie. This is one of Lady Day's last performances before her untimely death and her voice is a beautiful as ever.
