It seemed that everyone that was in attendence loved the performance. With the exception of my date and myself!
I must not be intune with that type of show, but it was very slow, and I'm not sure what type of abstract statement they were trying to make. But I hated it!!!!

The Limon Dance Company, an internationally acclaimed modern dance troupe, is currently celebrating it's 60th year. The dancers are of the highest technical ability with performance skills that bring their characters to life. I was immensly moved by their beautiful, thought-provoking concert and the amazing choreography.

Great - "ROOMS" - modern dance from the mid 50's - very early feminist piece by Ana Sokolov.
Contemporary piece by Taliaferro "MY HEART'S HOUSE" - I didn't like - but my husband liked it very much.
Acclaimed around the world, the Limón Dance Company celebrates the 100th anniversary of José Limón’s birth with two premieres at the Luckman Fine Arts Complex. The company’s clarity and expressiveness of movement embrace the humanistic approach to dance that was the vision of its legendary founder. The major revival premiere of Anna Sokolow’s groundbreaking jazz inspired "Rooms" (1955) set to an original jazz score by Kenyon Hopkins (performed live by Charles Owens and members of the Luckman Jazz Orchestra) and the world premiere of Clay Taliaferro’s newly commissioned work, "Into My Heart’s House," inspired by Limón’s love for the music of J.S. Bach is something that cannot be missed.
