    Over 15,000 paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, video and sculpture will be showcased at the massive Los Angeles Art Show, which moves into the L.A. Convention Center for its 14th year after outgrowing the Barker Hangar. The show has developed a reputation as the most important encyclopedic art fair in the world, and this year over 135 prominent international galleries will exhibit artworks for sale in a variety of styles, from Rembrandt to Ruscha and beyond.

    Dress
    • Definitely comfortable shoes
    • Comfortable shoes are a MUST!!! You will walk for 4 hours or more...
    • Floor was carpeted - I wore heels and had no problems.

    Parking And Transportation
    • At the Convention Center, the farther you're willing to walk the cheaper the parking lots.
    • We took the metro which avoids all parking fees. It was great.
    • If the Staples Center has an event, the Covnetion Center parking will be sold out.

    Food And Drinks
    • Fair amount of options but a bit overpriced of course
    • Plan to eat before or after. Not many interesting food and drink options.
    • There's healthy food $7-9, plus drinks $3 & Starbucks

    • Many excellent galleries - plan on LOTS of time - maybe even two leisurely trips.
    • If you don't get there when it opens, 2 trips would be best. There is so much to see!
    • L.A. Live is right next door and is a great spot to have dinner or drinks after the show!

    The Fine Art Dealers Association (FADA) and KR Martindale Show Management are pleased to announce the leap of the Los Angeles Art Show (LA Art Show) to the Los Angeles Convention Center beginning with the 2009 show. Now in its 14th year, the move will nearly double the size of the LA Art Show and increase the number of international galleries exhibiting. With 2008 exhibition figures exceeding 30,000 visitors and achieving record-setting multi-million dollar art sales, the 2009 fair promises to be the most innovative and eclectic show to date. According to show producer, Kim Martindale, "Los Angeles is a destination for art.
