Lin will play alongside the Orchestra in Lalo Schifrin's passionate tribute to the music of his native Argentina, Tangos Concertantes. The program also includes the debut of Principal Flute David Shostac's Carmen Fantasy, based on Bizet's classic opera, as well as Haydn'a Symphony no. 92, "Oxford".

Schifrin, whose career spans the concert hall, film and television, received a Grammy for his Mission: Impossible TV score and Academy Award® nominations for movie soundtracks such as Cool Hand Luke and The Competition. LACO principal flute since 1975, David Shostac shows off his “dazzling skills” (Reviewplays.com) as composer and soloist.
