<p>The Los Angeles Modern and Ballet Company reminds us of how beautiful ballet can be with an evening of stunning premieres, starting with an adaptation of a classic. Omhmar Griffin has transformed Sleeping Beauty’s Blue Bird Pas de Deux into a one-act ballet titled Blue Bird. Griffin concludes the program with a new work combining the music of Bjork and Imogen Heap.</p>
<p>Lambco has quickly gained the support of many community leaders with its constant mission to save classical dance art in Los Angeles. Congresswoman Maxine Waters and the Black Women’s Forum hosted Lambco’s Inaugural Fundraising Gala. The eight-member ensemble gained many new patrons with its synthesis of Classical Ballet with Gospel Music for Lambco’s 2005 Bridge Project last February.
