For 10 of the world's most gifted young adult opera singers, it's the concert -- and opportunity -- of a lifetime. Created by opera superstar Plácido Domingo to discover the best emerging opera singers of our day, Operalia is a prestigious international vocal competition that lets promising singers compete for top honors -- and nearly $200,000 in cash prizes. Out of more than 1,000 applicants from every corner of the globe, only 10 singers make it to this final round of the competition, which takes the form of a concert with Domingo conducting the LA Opera Orchestra. An international panel of judges then announces the winners. Rolex presents this thrilling and emotionally charged concert -- a great way to experience the operatic stars of tomorrow today. 9 of us drove to eat at Korean BBQ, in Korea town, that took us about 10 min or so to arrive to. If your in such a large group I suggest breaking it up in two to be seated much faster, also read rules as restuarant we sat at charged for meat left over by the pound? We also ended choosing the 9.99 menue each and somehow ended up paying a $20 gratuity fee, that unless it was written in Korean we did not know about prior, nor told about. This turned out to be less than what we normally would have tipped., hidden fees are just not fun.Marat Daukayev Ballet Theatre's The Nutcracker dining • Dec 20 2013 star this tip starred

this by far was the worst performance from the LJO in a long time; we were pretty disappointed. They seemed sloppy and the pieces they chose to play sounded like they were showtunes and generic. I have loved the performances from LJO in the past, and will continue to attend their Jazz Tributes, but this was one I could have afforded to miss.
