Written, produced, directed and acted by the bravest artists I have encountered in a very long time. This play is not for casual theatergoers.

The subject matter and storytelling will take you to some painful, dark places that can really mess with your head. Its unfathomable and horrible yet it is human and real. I go to a lot of plays, and my experience in this show was staggering and will stay with me for a long time. But you have to be willing to go there.

Watching a play like this brings you back to the power of the theater, not just to entertain, but to explore the depths of our souls, to teach us about ourselves and the ones we love. Its a priceless human experience.

Having read the description "Shocking Drama," I thought I was prepared for whatever came. To put it simply, I was not at all prepared for the roller-coaster ride that Lydia turned out to be. Every time I thought I knew what was coming, something else hit me out of left field and I was dumbstruck. At the intermission and at the end, the applause was hesitant, simply because you were so SHOCKED, it felt almost inappropriate to clap. The play was extemely well done, the cast superb, the writing flawless. If you want something to touch you to the very core, Lydia will leave an indelible mark on your psyche.

Wow! This show blew me away. The cast was flawless and the script was beautiful. The set, costumes, lighting, sound, and score added to the intensity of this production. This is a new play and many of the cast members performed in workshop and early productions of this show in Denver and at Yale. I think it's best to not know much of the plot before you see it, so I will be general rather than specific here... But I will say you WILL have a strong emotional reaction to this show. It is VERY intense. Best to go with someone so you'll have an opportunity to talk about what you saw after the final curtain. This is the kind of theater that changes people!

I Attend the play with an open mind, a willingness to accept the play as the director has presented it but for the life of me and others the ending part should have been different.
After the performance, must people bolted out because of the ending.
I guess the director was trying to convey something at the end but missed an important opportunity to make this a one of a kind production that rakes up there like plays like "Zoot Suit" and "Water & Power".
The actors deliver their lines realistically. I will give them an (A+)
