My daughter and I (too) enjoyed this tour very much and we learned a lot from Charlotte, thank you.
I brought the NextGen membership form for my daughter and I got free admission.

We loved the tour. Our guide was personable, engaging and was prepared to show items that were similar to what the artist used to create their masterpiece. This was a great mini lesson/tour for anyone to attend.

Our family had a great time! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS EXPERIENCE!!! I took my daughter, and invited my sister and niece to join us... and all of us had a great time. The girls enjoyed themselves so much. The Tour Guide was fabulous- she was very patient, and had great skill in kindly redirecting the children as needed. They learned about different types of art- including sculptures and paintings... and kept pointing out different types of sculptures on the way home. It was a great experience for my sister and I to watch the girls light up- especially because they are both quite shy. I loved both standing back and participating with my daughter- watching her learn. I can't wait to tell all of my friends about this.. its a great way for parents to share some quality time with their kids. I highly recommend this and I'm looking forward to other Quick Culture events!

Great experience. We were able to purchase an additional ticket at the last minute for an extra child we brought with us.
The tour itself was well done. With the use of props the guide is able to appeal to multiple intelligences. The two nine-year-olds we brought both said would have liked even more time with the guide! They could add another 1/2 hour for our taste! Great job.
The offer from LACMA to sign up NexGen kids with a free membership that lasts until the kids are 18 is amazing. The child can sign in an adult. Print the form on line and bring it with you! My daughter is already planning to treat her grandfather to a museum trip when he visits!
LACMA also had stations set up outside with various hands on activities like "paint like Picasso" and others. Huge hit!
Sign up for this tour and get your kids to LACMA!!!

I took my two boys, ages 9 & 5. The 9 yr old really appreciated and enjoyed it and got quite a lesson on art in that short time (1 hr). My 5 yr old, on the other hand, seemed maybe a couple yrs too young - he was more focused on why he wasn't allowed to touch anything (and made the guards very nervous!). I also learned things I never knew about and thought the tour guide was very friendly and spoke to the children well. She kept them involved and engaged with interaction and made sure they all participated. I would highly recommend to parents of children 8 yrs and older. This was a nice change from our typical little league weekend!

This was my twin boys first visit to LACMA and they really enjoyed the tour. They are really looking forward to coming back to revisit and explore the museum. The tour really got them excited about art!

The tour guide was very knowledgeable about art history, and even I learnt things about art. But more importantly, she really knew how to relate to kids and explain things at their level. She made the whole experience interactive by asking the kids lots of questions. Would love to do more museum tours with kids through this service.

Perfect length, 1 hour, 12 exhibits, variety of styles, and materials. Other family who signed up didn't show so my kids had the guide to themselves. **Good to know is that the kids can sign up for the Genex club and they get in free, and one adult per kid gets in free every visit. ** Also Sundays are kids days with lots of kids programs and activities.

I arrived at the Museum at 11:32, with the tour no where to be found. LACMA said they were unaffiliated with Quick Culture, so they felt it was okay to completely ignore my inquiry. I called the number provided for quick culture, and were unable to connect me to anyone with the tour, they simply said, "maybe you can track them down..." After about 45 minutes of running around looking for this non-existent kids tour, we gave up, and my little niece was very upset.
Thank you Quick Culture.

The docent that we had was very patient (it was great since my daughter has special needs which includes short attention). It was also nice because the group was small (9 kids, plus adults). Even the adults got to learn new things about the art. It was a 1 hour hands on tour, which was perfect.

My kids learned more in one hour than any other museum trip ever! Our tour guide was great. The kids got to take home a souvenir to remember their day, and it was a great way to end the tour! Highly recommended!

I thought that Quick Culturewould be a great way to introduce my 9 year old son to LACMA. And it was indeed. Elaine, the tour guide, was amazing. She is great with kids and she seem to be very knowledgeable and entertaining. My son loved it. All kids participated in discussion. Elaine brought various tools and samples of marble, clay etc to show the kids. They've learned a lot in just one hour! Love it, highly recommend!

It was a very enjoyable tour. I think the adults liked it as much as the kids. The guide engaged the children in each selected work and they learned how the art was made, why, and how it made them feel. Good stuff.

HIGLY recommend the tour. My boys (9 and 6) were dreading the visiting to say the least (they actually were on the verge of tears)! But thanks to Ellen, the visit was a great success. We started with the paintings on a sarcophagus ("funny long word") and ended with 20th century art. We learned about textures, colors, materials, sculpture, dynamic lines, action painting and surrealism and more... The kids were hooked. Not only were they answering Ellen's questions, they were even volunteering comments! All comments or answers were welcomed by Ellen, and used to deepen the dialogue. She basically taught them how to look at art. Truly an enjoyable and fun experience.

the whole process from beginning to end could not have been easier or more enjoyable. My 9 yr old daughter & 10 yr old son both loved it & were very excited afterwards, discussing with each other all the different things they learned! They want to know when we are going back to see more of the museum.

it was a very enjoyable time, very knowledgeable tour guide Ellen. I recommend the kids to be over age 8 for this, because the younger ones are not as patient. It is a great opportunity for parents to see how kids view art. I could not imagine my 11 yr old would get a surrealist painting that well!!

Fun and informative for the kids. Will do it again and invite our sons' friends next time. A little longer tour with a break in-between would be even better. The art work visited summary sheet handout is a great idea. Maybe add in a few descriptive words and hand it out at the beginning of the tour instead of at the end.

My 8yr old very much enjoyed the experience of the tour as well as the museum
If I had to pay the full price of $25 each plus admission I feel it would not have been worth it ... $16 dollars each {including your sevice charge}
was the maximum for me.

The tour was far beyond my expectations! The 2 12-year-old girls I took LOVED it and we all want to go back. Our tour guide, Charlotte, was perfect--organized,well-prepared,and an amazingly skilled teacher for kids of all ages. She showed us examples of all kinds of art and helped kids learn by participation. She even gave participants a copy of the artwork examined. I will do the tour again with the kids--and my husband!

This tour was fabulous! My seven-year-old daughter was fully engaged and really learned (and retained) alot. The tourguide used many interactive and creative ways to explore art and to help kids interpret art from multiple perspectives. I would definitely recommend it.
