The show was great, and it was nice to support an event that will be providing scholarships to low-income students to attend private schools of their choice. The show ran a bit long, and I was surprised that Cameo's set was cut short, before they got to perform "Word Up". WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT????? All the bands were great though, and I enjoyed the show immensely other than that little criticism.
This show is recommended for ages 18 and older.
The event’s organizer, Andern Educational Research, Inc., encourages everyone to participate in its first annual benefit concert. 100% of the proceeds will benefit AER’s GEMs initiative, which gives low-income students of color who have demonstrated high academic achievements opportunities to attend private high schools and receive scholarship funding up to $20,000 to go towards tuition. Andern Educational Research, Inc., is a new nonprofit that was founded in 2012 by a group of dedicated parents and educators with the mission to develop, promote, support, and provide educational opportunities to students of color and families who live in low-income and undeserved areas of the community.
