Parlor Performances at Steinway Hall presents On a Humorous Note: Evenings with America's Wittiest Songwriters, featuring Sr. Citizen Cabaret Darling (and Einstein doppleganger!) Ray Jessel and his "Songs from the Ridiculous to the Romantic!" Jessel was co-composer/lyricist of the Broadway Sherlock Holmes musical Baker Street. His songs are recorded by Louis Armstrong, Jimmy Durante, Sammy Davis Jr., Michael Feinstein, and others.

Making his debut (at 72!) as a cabaret artist at the Gardenia in 2002, Ray has since performed throughout North America and the UK. When he performed at New York’s Town Hall, he "brought down the house." (Hollywood Reporter) . Ray is the recipient of several MAC (national cabaret) awards.
