Join Kermit and Miss Piggy singing live on stage for this special screening of the new film Muppets Most Wanted, starring Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell and Tina Fey. Plus, after the movie, you'll get a behind-the-scenes peek at Muppets props and costumes, like Animal's drum set and Miss Piggy's wardrobe -- including her Vivienne Westwood couture wedding gown. While on a tour across Europe's most scenic destinations, The Muppets unwittingly find themselves entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine, the World's Number One Criminal -- who also happens to be a dead ringer for Kermit the Frog. he 1919 silent film Different from the Others (German title: Anders Als Die Andern) is arguably the earliest surviving cinematic work made explicitly about LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Transgender) people. Directed by Richard Oswald and co-written by famed psychologist Magnus Hirschfeld, it is the only film of a group of gay-friendly movies made during Germany’s Weimar Era that escaped systematic destruction by the Nazis.
A 40-minute fragment discovered in the Ukraine is the only known element to have survived the War. While the Filmmuseum München spearheaded a video preservation that pieced together film fragments, documents and photos, there has never been a restoration to film and a new negative created – until now.
Outfest and UCLA are proud to reintroduce Different from the Others to the world. This centerpiece screening with live orchestral accompaniment will be the first time in almost 100 years that the director’s vision will screen to an audience. The running time is 90 minutes.
