There were some very entertaining and talented people and some very inexperienced. The format was somewhat confusing as we were led to believe there were 2 performances and we arrived 30 min before the supposed start of the second only to learn it was already ongoing.Written on Aug 28 2007

Timed to coincide with the Western Arts Alliance conference at the Biltmore, Parlor Performances presents its annual mega-showcase, The Parlor-Palooza!, featuring over a dozen comedians, musical satirists, cabaret and solo artists! These 10-minute mini-performances will feature musical satirists Ray Jessel and Jay Leonhart; comedians/solo artists Ann Randolph (Squeeze Box), Annie Korzen, Vicki Juditz, Carla Zilbersmith (Wedding Singer Blues), Betsy Salkind and Jackie Kashian; historical/topical solo shows on Frank Lloyd Wright, Brenda Adelman (My Brooklyn Hamlet), Amy Simon (Cheerios in My Underwear), Jeff Greenwald (Strange Travel Suggestions), Kres Mersky (Einstein & Isadora Duncan), Stephanie Satie (Refugees) -- and additional surprises!
Showcases are continuous, but audience members may come and go as they please between acts.
