- Tonight's bobblehead giveaway honors Hall of Famer Duke Snider, who played for the Dodgers from 1947 to 1962. A Los Angeles native, Snider finished in the top 10 in MVP voting six times. He partnered with Jackie Robinson and other stars to bring the Dodgers their first World Series win in 1955, and was a member of the team during their first year in Los Angeles. Snider, who finished his career with 2116 hits and 407 home runs, passed away in February 2011.
