A great deal of fun and so much experimental music talent. Performances included a jazz band organized jam session set to movie montages, a saxophone trio and a group with a singer that included household trinkets in the performers. All in all highly recommend for a fun filled evening.Written on Jun 22 2010

Really laid back theatre. It was an aural experience. It was definately experimental music - and if you enjoy live performance of musicians trying out different stuff - then you'll probably like it.Written on Oct 19 2009

What a fun way to spend an evening! It was refreshing to be exposed to this type of experimental music (and for such an inexpensive ticket price!). The first two acts were highly engaging, the third not so much (a tad self-indulgent).Written on Mar 22 2009
Also cool:
--The curator of the event was affable and informative. He held an impromptu Q&A during set changes.
--The theatre itself was very comfortable and the site has free, ample parking. I repeat: FREE AMPLE PARKING.
I highly recommend this event and will return next month to see an all new line-up of performers.

For us this event was a disaster -- it did not start until 55 minutes after the advertised time. There was no printed program. A few people in work clothes were scurrying around, it turned out they were musicians who wandered in and out as we waited cluelessly. No one spoke to us about the delay.Written on Aug 20 2010
By repeated questioning, we learned that 3 pieces were on the program: a solo, a quartet and a larger group. We did speak to the leader of the quartet, but no clue about the 2 other pieces (performers, instruments, program notes) .
The first piece was the solo, he pushed switches that produced sounds of 100's of decibels and sang into a microphone. I thought World War 3 had started when I heard the first sound, the following ones were equally painful to my ears. My friend signaled me to leave -- she, too, felt attacked mercilessly by the sounds. In view of the lateness of the hour we never returned to hear the rest of the program. I'm a classical musician and had hoped to hear some interesting new music. I thought it was a shabby way to treat audience members who had bought
bona fide tickets (and had traveled a long distance).
