Pianist Mona Golabek pays moving tribute to her pianist mother -- a survivor of the Holocaust and the London Blitzkrieg -- in this hit concert drama directed by audience favorite Hershey Felder. Golabek, seated onstage at the piano, performs some of the world's most beloved piano music while sharing harrowing true tales of her mother's life. As a young Jewish pianist in 1938 Vienna, Golabek's mother, Lisa Jura, dreamt of a concert debut at the storied Musikverein concert hall. But when she was swept up in the Kindertransport to London in an attempt to be protected from the Nazi regime, everything about Jura's life was upended -- except her love of music. The Los Angeles Times calls The Pianist of Willesden Lane "an arresting, deeply affecting triumph." Learn More

Acclaimed actress, producer, writer and Geffen Playhouse alum Rita Wilson is returning to the theater – this time to sing. For one night only, the award-winning stage and screen star will perform songs from her debut Decca Records solo album AM/FM, featuring iconic hits from the '60s and '70s ranging from classic love songs to folk-rock tunes. Rita Wilson AM/FM in Concert will benefit both the Geffen Playhouse and The Actors Fund, a national human services organization that helps all professionals in performing arts and entertainment, and will be followed by a postshow wine and dessert reception.
Wilson’s new album AM/FM is a compilation of her take on her favorite songs from childhood – from the AM radio recordings she first experienced in the back seat of her parents’ car to the FM singer-songwriter jams she sung while at the wheel herself – and features guest artists Chris Cornell, Sheryl Crow, Jimmy Webb, Jackson Browne and Faith Hill, among others.
