Please don't text in a darkened theater. It's disturbing to those around you.

Self-Proclaimed GOLDSTAR POSTER BOY
WELL ATTENDED AND RECEIVED.... PEOPLE SEEMED TO TRULY EMBRACE THIS PERFORMANCE. THE DANCERS WERE WONDERFUL.... THERE WERE MOMENTS THAT WERE QUITE INTENSE, BEAUTIFUL, LYRICAL... LIGHT HEARTED AND EVEN HUMOROUS. IT WAS QUITE LOVELY BUT SOMEHOW FELT SUBDUED IN IT'S OVERALL IMPACT. I EXPECTED TO BE BLOWN AWAY... MAYBE MY EXPECTATIONS WERE OFF. I HAVE NOT ATTENDED MANY BALLET DANCE PERFORMANCES AND WAS MAYBE SPOILED BY A RESENT ALVIN AILEY PROGRAM AT THE DOROTHY CHANDLER.... WHERE I HAD TO REMIND MYSELF TO BREATH AT TIMES IT BEING SO POWERFUL. PERHAPS IT IS UNFAIR TO COMPARE A VERY DIFFERENT KIND OF PERFORMANCE. IT TRULY WAS LOVELY AND THE DANCERS WERE GREAT....??? NOT THRILLED WITH OUR SEATS THIS TIME (WAY TO THE FURTHEST SIDE, WHEN THERE WERE MANY EMPTY CENTER SEATS)Written on Oct 17 2011

Description
Poetic, distinguished and altogether brilliant, Scottish Ballet will astound audiences in their first U.S. performance in 25 years. This Music Center debut will feature an exhilarating double bill starting with Sir Kenneth MacMillan's masterwork Song of the Earth, a powerful and bitter-sweet celebration of the cycles of life. In contrast, the North American premiere of Kings 2 Ends-a new work by the fiercely contemporary choreographer Jorma Elo-invites audiences to immerse themselves in its lyrical and vibrant choreography.
Revel in the beauty with an evening of dance that will tantalize your contemporary and classical taste buds.
Support for the company's U.S. Tour was provided by the Scottish Government and the British Council.
