This two-day folk dance festival, presented for the third year in a row, is a colorful celebration of the rich culture and history of Latin America. Directed by Blanca Soto and featuring several distinguished musicians and dance companies, the event showcases traditional dances from many different countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama and the U.S.

I loved this event. It lasted a good amount of time, and displayed 2-3 traditional dances from several latin american countries. The costumes the performers wore where nice, and they were selling traditional latin food as well as really awsome accessories :) super cool experience would definitly go again if it comes around next year :)Written on Oct 25 2010

Not at all what I expected. The Goldstar description lead me to believe this would be a collection of pro-dancers performing historical dances. In actuality it was a collection of dance schools performing. It felt more like a graduation show than a tru dance performance.Written on Nov 13 2010

This show was incredibly professionally done. I was surprised that it turned out to be so good. BRAVO for the performers. The Ricardo Montalvan theater is a little old. I had never been there before. I wish people were a bit more elegant and organized, but that had nothing to do with the show and magnificent performers.Written on Oct 27 2010
