Written on Jun 28 2012It was great. My little niece had a blast. The entire cast was so friendly.
Written on Jun 07 2012The area hardly had any shade!! The day was pretty warm and it was a bit uncomfortable. I would have enjoyed the show more if it had been schedule for the evening during sunset.
But the actors did a great job, and my 4 year old daughter enjoyed the performance :)
Written on Jun 05 2012We had a great time. I took my daughter & two nieces, ages 4, 3, 2. They were really engaged in the play and enjoyed themselves. The park was a pleasant surprise but be prepared for a bit of a hike on a dirt trail.
Written on Jun 04 2012Breath of fresh air LITERALLY. At least for my family, it was a different experience seeing an outdoor play. The day was beautiful and shade was available however only off to the side. If you would want to sit front and center you had to be in the sun. Luckily the venue was small and anywhere you sat, you got a good view. We liked that the cast was so personable and offered entertainment prior to the beginning of the play to keep the little ones from getting restless.
Written on May 31 2012The venue was fantastic! It was a wonderful park picnic amphitheatre. The actors were tremendously talented. They were funny and involved the audience. It was a great family play. I recommend it highly.
Written on May 29 2012Outstanding. Lots of fun for the whole family. Highly recommend to anyone.
Written on May 29 2012Snow white, and her dwarf were amazing! IN fact all of these guys are lots of fun to watch. This was a great show all in all.. The only thing I think is important to mention is regarding the age range. I would steer it towards older kids.. based upon the use of language. Whilst the story is actually about a queen who wishes she was the fairest in the kingdom and then sets out to kill her step daughter, there is a lots of emphasis on words like UGLY, PIG like, HATE, KILL, DEAD.. and also a few ugly jokes I was not 100% comfortable with..Not the greatest lesson for some wee ones but fun for older kids. Still glad we went! Great experience for outdoor theatre!
Written on May 28 2012Silly performance, pretty park though in the heart of Los Angeles
Written on May 28 2012The 3 girls enjoyed it (3 year old, 9 year old and 10 year old). The adults enjoyed it too! It was pretty cool watching this musical in an outdoor setting. We took blankets, Subway sandwiches, chips, juices and some fruit and had a really nice time. The cast was very friendly and funny and they posed for pictures. We went on a beautiful SoCal day so the weather was perfect and we arrived early so sat in shade. I noticed a few people brought chairs but sat behind the ones sitting on the ground. Nice group of people in an awesome different type of setting for a musical. Really liked it.
Written on May 20 2012For all actores who claim they are starting this great play, i must say they did an awesome Job!!!!!
Kept adults and kids laughing and participating. My family and i enjoyed this out door play, something Different.
I recommend this play but make sure you dress up and take picnic gear...so you could enjoy the show even better.
Written on May 08 2012Great fun for all ages. High energy from everyone in the cast. Make sure you bring a comfy blanket or sand chairs as ground is coarse sand. Some seating is available on the lawn off to the side. Get there early to picnic and to pick out a good seat in the shade. The cast, including the musicians, have a lot of fun interaction with the audience before and after the show.
Written on May 07 2012It was a quaint and intimate show. The cast was fabulous. We really enjoyed it.
Written on May 03 2012I loved this performance!! A very different way of experiencing theater! What a better way to substitute stage props and artificial light than with REAL trees, rocks and sunlight! Way to reduce the carbon footprint and really gives kids a better appreciation of musical performances and theater. The actors were excellent and really showed enthusiasm and delivered skill!!! Even the walk up to the sitting area was interesting and felt fairytale-like. We felt very welcomed and I even think my older nieces and nephews wouldn't mind coming for the experience (and they are in their early teens)...While I did not like some of the messages being told to little kids like OLD and FAT equaled UGLY, or that snow white was the most beautiful because she had the fairest skin of the land, I did however LOVE the delivery of this performance and look forward to attending more at this location.(Maybe a couple of creative edits would be helpful) In either case, it was a small but very POWERFUL cast! Quality over quantity-Great job guys!
Written on May 01 2012My four year old daughter loved it! The cast was wonderful about taking photos afterwards.
Written on Apr 30 2012All family absolutely loved it! Kids asked if we could go again
Written on Apr 23 2012Loved it! Brought my 1 yr old, and two cousins 13 and 16 yr old. We all had fun even my husband. great family activity and not to bad on the wallet! A must do again!
Written on Apr 23 2012It was the most terrible show I've ever been to. We left the show half any hour after the show started. I encouraged my friend to the show because of my wonderful experience with Oz! & Oliver. However, as soon as we arrived, I regreted and appolized to my friends. Most of the actors and actress were not into their roles! Some of them had their eyes half open, and tried to kill time there. Snow white was wild and and worldly. I didn't feel her elegance or beauty.
Written on Apr 16 2012My family and I loved this play! It was fun, comical, and very entertaining.
I also think that by bringing your own picnic is a wonderful. The cast was
warm and friendly. They let us take pictures with them! The park is so beautiful with a spectacular view of downtown LA. Great for kids. Highly recommend it!
Written on Apr 09 2012I loved it. Took my 8 yr old daughter and she loved it. It was so entertaining. Such a nice thing to do. Bring a picnic and enjoy!!
