This Broadway hit musical, based on the beloved holiday tale, features the classic tunes "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" and "Welcome Christmas." The production stars John Larroquette (Night Court) as the narrator "Old Max" and Stefan Karl (Nick Jr.'s Lazy Town) as The Grinch. Magnificent sets and costumes inspired by Dr. Seuss' original illustrations help transport audiences to the whimsical world of Whoville, breathing new life into this timeless story of the true meaning of the Holiday Season. This play was great!!! It was very tightly done, in only 90 minutes, but what a 90 minutes!!! The story was done in flashbacks, alternating with present time. The 2 lead actresses were very well cast, I didn't find a flaw in their performances. Supporting actors were also top notch. The amount of costume changes done by all the actors was astounding, I don't know how they managed so smoothly. This is a definite recommend!!!

This play was at a very small Theater. I hope it makes it out to a larger market, as this was one of the best plays I think I have ever seen.
My GF is a Theater Major so I have seen quite a few...
The cast was very professional, and all gave outstanding performances. The senic designer did a great job, and made it very easy to believe that the living room apt could transform into a hospital setting.
I recommend this play to all. Very mixed audience as well.
Great show, great performers...

STOP KISS was an amazing night of theatre. Storytelling at it's best. Perfectly cast and expertly directed. Rogue Machine proves that you CAN see GREAT theatre in LOS ANGELES! LOVED IT!

It is a great play, I am so glay that I have read the member reviews and went to see the play. I went with a female frined, we both love it, the acting from the 2 lead are truely professional. since it is in a small venue, there are no bad seats in the house, we elected to set in the first row, and we enjoyed to see the first class acting up close.
I am recommend this play.
Thank you Goldstar.

I didn't know anyone in this play or associated with it, but went on a whim because it was in my local neighborhood, and liked it immensely, which is hard to find in Los Angeles theatre. The actors were well trained and believable, the dialogue was quick paced and engaging, and the set changes were smooth and efficient. I recommend this play highly.

This west coast premiere on Stop/Kiss is in every way the equal to the much ballyhooed original production at the Public Theater in New York. In particular Deborah Puette and Kristina Harrison bring depth and poignancy and prickly humor to the lead roles, as two erstwhile straight women navigating a new world of attraction and eventually love between them. Darker, potentially tragic events intrude, but the evening on the whole is filled with hope and tenderness. The whole cast is terrific, and the production zings along at the pace of a newfound love affair. You shouldn't miss it.

What a great, moving night at the theatre! This production was one of the most professional I had seen in LA. The acting was superb! Subtle and layered. Kristina Harrison is fantastic and dynamic as Sara. She doesn't miss a beat. She finds humor, truth, and brings emotional commitment to every moment. Deborah Puette, also very talented, does a great job as Callie and her onstage boyfriend Christian Anderson (George) is infectiously likable. The Co-directors do a nice job of transitions and have found the right pace for the play, not to mention fantastic music to aid in telling the story. I could not recommend STOP KISS more highly!

We loved it. There were four of us who went and one friend said he wanted the play to last longer. We all recommend this show. The actors are A-list Don't miss it. It's compelling.

I enjoyed the play. The actors were very fluid. Will recommend to my friends. Thanks for bringing more small theater to Los Angeles.

Wonderful play & wonderful performances. The two actors playing the leads were both brilliant, tender & funny.

A gem of a show in a gem of a theater. The people running the place are a class act (even the company volunteer at the snack bar was a well-known actress I've admired for years). The whole venue just keeps getting better and better.
The play: compelling, funny, touching, engaging. Great music, too. Performances utterly first rate. I'd heard it was good, but I did not expect to be captivated, which both my friend and I were. I highly recommend it.

Avoid this show like the plague! The theater was as hot as an Alabama Chautauqua. It was also overcrowded, thus posing a violation of building codes, not to mention fire safety codes.
The play, itself, was deadly dull, a story that did not need to be told!

I totally loved it! The actors were outstanding. Great performance!

A beautifully acted, funny and tremendously poignant production. Worthy of the high standards that have been set by Rogue Machine.

Thoroughly enjoyable work. I especially like the writer's use of two different timelines. Very original. Actors superb. Staging very well done.

I was totally impressed! I thought the whole cast gave excellent performances. I fell asleep and woke up the next day thinking about it.
I definitely recommend it!

great love story, great acting, great show!

The event was A good evening of quality Acting. Very real and deals with todays concerns. Take it to the next level with Stop Kiss 2

Great play with fantastic actors. Theatre/Theatre is a bit run down on the outside - in fact we thought it was closed when we first drove up! But don't let that stop you from an amazing evening. Powerful and very well written. Thank you Goldstar for listing this play!

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the show. I especially liked the dialogue. I was strongly able to identify wtih the situation, emotions and the feeling of being judged by strangers and even friends, for falling in love with a woman....my girlfriend and I were so into it, that we were surprised when it ended because it seemed we were sitting there for only a very short time. I highly recommend this play.

it was a GREAT play, I loved the way it flowed flawlesly back & forth from present to past. I only wish there was sequel to plays. I loved it!

Fantastic and well done. The 2 lead actors were amazing and they did so much with such a small set.

the storyline isn't that great, but the play itself was astonishing. all the actors did a fabulous job! amazing acting skills. was not boring at all :) definitely a must-see!

A top flight black box theatre experience! Acting, writing, directing - all high quality. I don't want to give away the theme of the play, because that would spoil the pleasure, but it has a heavy subject, but explores it with a light touch. There's considerable fun in hearing the New York milieu skillfully reflected in the writer's dialogue, though I thought the actors could have played with it a little more. I thought they might have been held in check by the director fr the sake of clarity. They were plenty clear, but I felt the New York characters would have been speaking on top of each other a lot more, and that would have threatened comprehensibility, as it does in real life when I'm in the Big Apple. But the story and the people are exciting, so the play has grip fronm start to finish. A fine evening of theatre all around. Go.

This was one of the best plays I have seen. Great acting. The music was awesome also. It is great to support a young, small theater.

This was a very intimate theatre and the actors used the small place really well. I thought it was great and I would definetly recommend it.

Stop Kiss is a tragic commentary about a gay bashing incident. The story was told with humor and dignity. As a straight woman, I found the main characters to be believable and endearing. I even found myself identifying with them a little (let's face it - we've ALL had a little girl crush!) Excellent acting by all cast members. A definite "recommend"!

I thought the show was great! Very well written and acted!
The theater is small (seats about 25), cool and there's not a bad seat in the house.

Excellent play! Wonderfully directed by two extremely talented artists! And the acting was superb! Very real, very natural and the story was well told! I would highly recommend this play to any theater goer!!!

It was so good! The theater was much nicer inside so don't let outward appearances fool you. The actors were AMAZING. The story was so good I got teary eyed because you can just relate to these characters. It was funny, sad, and I didn't want it to end! Its 90 mins with no bathroom break so WARNING: If you partake in the beverages before you may or may not make it through. (I didn't....yeah that was me who had to get up during the play WOOPS!)

It was a very good evening. The actresses were on top of their game and there was a story within a story so the time went by fast. Since there is no intermission, I would suggest donating a few dollars and getting something to drink before the play starts. Surprisingly, most of the audience appeared to be straight. I liked the play well enough to recommend the play to friends.

Very well done, cast was excellent. Downsize was it is an hour show that lasts 80 minute due to long scene changes and what seems like 100 short 2-3 minute scenes. Blame the author and not the production, they did what they could.

This is small theatre at it's best! Great pace, smart direction, fantastic acting. A beautifully written play. Kristina Harrison was incredible and her performance will break your heart.

Small theatre - feels like you are part of the play. Enjoyed the company of actors - play last 90 minutes with no breaks. Time goes by quickly. Was an enjoyable evening. The only negative was that we enjoyed the music which was female singers covering male singers songs so we asked one of the actors about the music and she told us to ask the director for the playlist. When we spoke to the director she said that if we were go come back with more people then she would give us the playlist. We just wanted to know who some of the female singers were because we couldn't figure out their voices.

Superb. Fantastic. One of the best plays I have ever seen. Every actor--the leads and the supporting cast members--shined throughout their performances. They became their characters. Every moment Kristina Harrison's "Sara" was in Callie's apartment, I felt Sara through her silence as well as her dialogue. You could watch Sara's love for Callie grow through Kristina's body language and facial expressions. I will follow these actors and attend any of their future performances.

Very good play. And a very talented cast. Gay or straight, you will become involved in this production. It's only 90 minutes or so long, but the time flies by. I encourage you to attend.

It was sort of long. There was no intermission so the 90 minutes seemed rather long. The acting was very good except they did make it look too fake. The girls were a little too nervous around each other. Other than that it was a good play.
