I think we went after the LA Weekly review, so it was really crowded. The tickets in will call were really handy. The event had everything it claimed to have and they delivered well. It was fun and summary. A great one time experience! Make sure you bring a lot of layers (gets chilly!) and portable chairs - otherwise your movie watching experience will be quite pathetic : )
June 29, 2013:
Film: The Breakfast Club (Rated R)
With a significant nod from the recent hit Pitch Perfect, a whole new generation of moviegoers have embraced this quintessential teen angst movie. John Hughes wrote and directed this 1980s high school drama featuring the hottest young stars of the decade. Trapped in a day-long Saturday detention in a prison-like school library are Claire, the princess (Molly Ringwald); Andrew, the jock (Emilio Estevez); John, the criminal (Judd Nelson); Brian, the brain (Anthony Michael Hall); and Allison, the basket case (Ally Sheedy). These five strangers begin the day with nothing in common, each bound to his/her place in the high school caste system. The Breakfast Club has developed an almost cult-like status.
Running Time: 1 Hour 37 Minutes
Band: Fallen Riviera (presented by The Viper Room)
Food: Belly Bombz. Canvas Food Truck, Trailer Park Truck, Slummin Gourmet, India Jones, La Frite, The Melt Bus, Umami Burger, Urban Oven, Perk Up Coffee, Waffles Deliege + more!
