A short distance from the capitol sits Medieval Times' stately Baltimore Castle, where you can gather with family and friends for an 11th century feast and live jousting tournament. Eat a delicious four-course meal of chicken, potatoes and more (vegetarian options available), using your hands, just like they did in medieval times. While you're enjoying your food, you'll be cheering for one of six noble knights who take to the arena on horseback, competing in jousts, hand-to-hand combat and displays of horsemanship as part of an exciting story set in medieval Spain. And the fun doesn't stop there. Medieval Times also features an excellent bar, dance floor, Hall of Arms displaying medieval artifacts and a medieval torture museum. Knighting ceremonies are also performed pre-show. Learn More

This was a great low-key event for folks who love good food and good drink... It was more intimate than expected, but that added to the experience. Diversity of people, so a wine aficionado and the wine novice could both feel comfortable. The silent auction wasn't my interest but I still enjoyed myself (you could choose to engage or keep eatin' and drinkin'). The fact that it was on a grassy knoll means that ladies in heals, esp. high ones, had issues walking. The soft grass meant with every step you are sinking into the ground. Quite uncomfortable. So pavement would have been much better (or just a better, sturdy turf in general). Overall, two thumbs up!

First off, this is not a wine tasting class. This is more of a fundraiser type of event with different type of wineries showcasing there goods. While a restaurant does serve appetizers and what not to pair the wine with, expect to stand in line for a while. The venue is beautiful and the atmosphere is great. Other than that if you are looking to take a wine class do not attend this event. I didn't learn anything about wine.

Good food! Good wine! It was a wine tasting so they didn't fill your glass but then again some tasting tables had about 13 bottles of wine so if your intention was to sample wines you wouldn't have wanted them to fill your glass. Wines from different wineries both here in California, mostly the central coast, and some from France. Very nice event. Do bring comfortable shoes, I was wearing wedges so I didn't have trouble on the lawn. Overall, very fun.
