This is a good, dark play. It is worth watching and has an important theme, albeit pessimistic. The cast is pretty solid, although the main actor seemed a lot older than the others in the cast which took me out of the story somewhat because I kept thinking "why doesn't he just retire?" The 'mother-killer' stole the show for me, he was spot on, and lightened everything up, an extremely strong performance. The sound design was also very strong. Overall the design was well done and minimalist, the performers were good, but the real bonus is having an excuse to go to that cool little theatre.Written on Jun 15 2007

Good show. Great space. Strong cast (although the women were a little young for their parts). The second act in particular had some very engaging and thought provoking moments.Written on Jun 15 2007

One or two fine actors hampered by a lackluster ensemble and complete lack of direction made this a tedious evening.Written on Jun 15 2007

This was an exquisite bunch of actors honing their craft under a fine director. The play is as relevant today as it was over 80 years ago. I was thoroughly immersed in the story and fascinated by the performances. Not a dull moment!Written on May 28 2007
