The Walt Disney Concert Hall may be the happiest place on earth for jazz fans this summer as Grammy-winning vocalist Steve Tyrell, famed cabaret artist Jane Monheit and innovative pianist Jason Moran perform at this benefit for Cal State Long Beach's KJazz radio station. A popular singer-songwriter-producer known for his timeless take on the Great American Songbook, Tyrell had success with his very first album, A New Standard, which spent 90 weeks on the Billboard jazz chart, and was his first of seven Top 5 discs. He's performed at some of the most prestigious clubs in the country, including New York's Blue Note. Grammy-nominated songstress Jane Monheit is a popular jazz and cabaret performer, who's released nine albums, including 2013's The Heart of the Matter, and collaborated with artists like Michael Bublé, Ivan Lins and Terence Blanchard. Pianist Jason Moran currently serves as the Kennedy Center's Artistic Advisor for Jazz, and is famed for mixing funk, rock and hip hop elements into traditional blues and jazz. Learn More
