About Dr. Kristi Brown-Montesano:
Dr. Kristi Brown-Montesano is Chair of Music History at the Colburn Conservatory of Music, where she has been a faculty member since 2003. She has written extensively on 18th-century music, opera, classical music and contemporary culture, and music in film; her book Understanding the Women of Mozart’s Operas (2007) was published by the University of California Press.
