New York-based singer-songwriter Garland Jeffreys discusses his long and influential career, takes questions and gives a brief performance of songs from his latest release The King of In Between -- his first full-length disc in 13 years -- in a GRAMMY Museum event. Acclaimed for his music's mix of rock, blues, reggae and soul, Jeffreys is also lauded for his lyrics' poetic take on urban and racial issues. His best-known single, "Wild in the Streets," off the 1977 Ghost Rider album, has been widely covered by other artists, including the Circle Jerks. Jeffreys appeared earlier this month on Late Show with David Letterman and was featured in Wim Wenders' 2003 documentary Soul of a Man, as part of Martin Scorsese's The Blues series for PBS.
