The Fake Show, hosted by Jeremy Kramer (Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Hot Chick) and Frank Conniff (Mystery Science Theater 3000), is like a comedy club out of 1984 or Brazil. The Fake Show is not just surreal for surreality's sake, the show moves at fast clip and before you know it, you've seen most of the funniest people in L.A. without being burned out and exhausted.

It is a comics workshop and I was the only one there not performing. They were kind enough to return my money $7:50 (which I did not ask for} because they didn't start until 9 PM.Written on Apr 21 2006
They have an interesting concept of the two hosts on TV screens and single mike stage performances which ranged from bizarre raunchy to so-so political commentary.
If you are not interested in seeing a work in progress this wouldn't be for you, oddly enough I think I may go back to see the progress... if any.
A unique evening.

Description

The hosts stare down at you from giant black and white television monitors. On other monitors, an imposing video countdown clock mechanically ticks off the performer’s allotted time. Other cameras monitor the audience, the other performers and what’s going on outside.
