The Gipsy Kings are heating up the Greek this summer with their passionate, flamenco-inspired music, flavored with Afro-Cuban Rumba soul. Since the 1987 release of the international hit single "Bamboleo," the Gipsy Kings have sold more than 14 million albums worldwide with more than four million in the United States alone. Their most recent album, Pasajero, includes experimentation with new South American sounds, including the use of a Peruvian charango (a lute-like stringed instrument). Over the years, the Gipsy Kings -- who hail from the gypsy settlements in Arles and Montpelier in the south of France -- have included singers and guitarists from the Reyes and Baliardo families. Lead singer Nicolas Reyes is the son of famed Flamenco singer José Reyes

Have waited for years to see the Gipsy Kings in concert ! I never wanted to pay $100 for tickets so when I saw the incredible price from Goldstar I leaped at it.....Worth the wait ! Great concert.....We arrived early (as suggested) stood in a very short and quick moving line at will call....I was asked 'Goldstar or Ticket Master', gave my id, was handed my tickets in less than 1 minute and we were on our way to a great evening !
Have been to several plays and concerts using this service.....Can't imagine life w/out Goldstar !!!!

Description

Over the years, the Gipsy Kings—who hail from the gypsy settlements in Arles and Montpelier in the south of France—have included singers and guitarists from the Reyes and Baliardo families. Lead singer Nicolas Reyes is the son of famed Flamenco singer José Reyes.  As a result, the band's vigorous guitar work and passionate vocals are highly influenced by the indigenous musical tradition known as rumba flamenca.

The Gipsy Kings have won a global audience over purely by the music and the big, welcoming soulfulness of its creators.  Since the 1987 release of the international hit single "Bamboleo," the Gipsy Kings have sold more than 14 million albums worldwide with more than four million in the United States alone. They are one of the most popular non-English performing groups in the states where their recordings and live performances continue to earn critical and popular praise.

Over two decades into their career, the Gipsy Kings' sound continues to evolve and remains vital.  The group has released 15 albums with Pasajero as their most recent.  The Gipsy Kings continue to showcase how they make music as communion with artistry rooted in the past yet focused on the future.
