The Completely Different Late Show is a wild improv explosion by the cast of the Groundlings' Main Company. Audience suggestions are taken throughout the night for improvised scenes to be performed by the best in the business. It's also a testing ground for brand new material that could be headed -- based on your response -- for the Groundlings' main show. Famous alumni include Jon Lovitz, Phil Hartman, Pat Morita, Lisa Kudrow and Paul Reubens, who created his Pee-wee Herman character there. Every week, it's an all-new comedy experience. Learn More

I saw the posters and their name ("The Gym" - sounds like fun) and thought this show would be perfect for my boyfriend's birthday. I grabbed 4 tickets so I could invite two of his best friends. The show started out a bit slow, the first two sketches felt like they were the warm-up, but after that almost all of them were simply hilarious. Their "nativity" sketch had me in tears and so did their "sh*t in the box" one. The ones that were not my favorites were still fun though.
All the performers were great, but I especially loved Dominic Burgess. He created some truly funny characters that were all so different and his comedic timing was perfect. I would go and see The Gym again anytime.

Avenue Q is so New York. It’s time Los Angeles got its own puppet musical. Follow Joe Green and his friends as they experience commercial auditions, terrible (but flexible) part-time jobs, and worst of all: living in the Valley. “Very smart and very funny” —Jeff Marx, co-writer of Avenue Q
