The origins of Undateable lie in the hilariously bizarre results of an outrageous experiment. On a lark, playwright Robyn Norris created an online dating profile for the weirdest, least desirable person she could imagine. Within days, there were hundreds of earnest (if strange) messages to her wackadoo profile, "TracyLovesCats." So Norris immediately upped the ante, creating 38 uniquely flawed profiles, ranging from MarryMeNowStat to Old4U75 to PioneerInABox. Now, the real-life responses these profiles attracted, collected over months of "research," are acted out live by members of the famed Second City company. Frank Caeti (MADtv) directs one of the funniest -- but also most honest and heartfelt -- portrayals of internet dating ever presented on stage. Learn More

The skits just weren't that funny. Which is a shame because I could see the actors really putting themselves out there. Groundlings usually has a ratio of 2/3 show really funny and 1/3 so so. Second City had about 1/5 kind of funny and the rest was so so to loud and stupid. Best bit was with a female sergeant grilling her new recruits. Now that was funny!
