Acting teacher Josh Galitsky provides a safe, nurturing, non-judgmental environment designed to help students of every level break through their fears and creative obstacles at their own pace. This "UN-LA" class allows artists to take a break from the Hollywood grind and explore a fun, dynamic, and challenging process that returns them to their emotional roots. Classes are small -- no more than 12 students per session -- and Josh focuses on keeping all students involved throughout the class.

In the latest comic meditation from renowned playwright Murray Mednick, The Fool and the Red Queen experiments with archetypes to explore human nature and the processes of theater. A struggling actor named Gary finds himself at a nightmarish audition where the audience discovers the magical ability of the theater to create new realities -- in this case, a darkly funny and improvised play-within-a-play similar to Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf and Marie and Bruce. Enjoyed it a lot! It was unpretentious and relaxed. I was very nervous going to this class as I've never taken an acting class in LA. Josh was friendly and made me feel comfortable. I'm signing up for more classes!

Anyone can and should take this class. You don't have to be an actor or an aspiring one. Just be yourself and experience free expression. The exercises were great.

I highly recommend this. Thanks Goldstar for offering a unique event!

I really loved this acting class. Josh's method gently shows you exactly where you are in your development. I walked away from this class looking at acting and my ability from a totally different perspective. It helped center me and connect with my inner being.

it is a great workshop in which you come back to what acting is about.
Beeing authentic and expressing things you can move people with.
To work with everything you got inside and just let it out.
I am from Germany and i can really recommend that.

Josh Galitsky provides a safe, nurturing, non-judgmental environment designed to help students of every level break through their fears and creative obstacles at their own pace. This “un-LA” class allows artists to take a break from the Hollywood grind and explore a fun, dynamic, and challenging process that returns them to their emotional roots. Evening, day, and weekend classes are provided in small, 12-person maximum settings that have you up and working the entire 4-hour session. Advanced classes focus on producing original work for live performance.
