I generally like everything I see at the Fake Gallery, even though shows are organized by different people, so even though I knew nothing about this I bought tickets anyway. And it was really fun (I would have gladly paid full price, which admittedly was only $10, but even so...). Comedy shows are always a bit uneven, and this was too, but it was mostly offbeat humor that resists summarizing and really entertained the crowd. Plus there are cheap drinks in the back and people tend to stay after and mingle, so if you like a performance, half an hour later you can drink a beer with the performer and tell them that you liked it. If they ever do another one of these, I'll happily go.Written on Jun 02 2008
