The Stories of Cesar Chavez is a one-man show depicting the life and times of Cesar E. Chavez, one of the most inspirational and influential civil rights leaders of our time. The play offers a compelling look at the man and his struggle for equality through the eight various characters brought to life on stage. The audience joins Cesar in the middle of one of the most difficult moments of his life: his first hunger strike in 1968. From here, the play follows him on a spiritual journey through his humble childhood to his days as a courageous labor leader. The audience meets not only Cesar, but the influential, delightful, and sometimes provocative characters of his past.
