Set in the early 1900s, it's the story of a young orphan girl blossoming into a beautiful, intelligent woman over the course of a correspondence with the anonymous benefactor who is paying for her education. Daddy Long Legs traces the development of a young girl's mind and spirit with a pop-folk score. Learn More

A.K as Tomorrow Never Dies
I purchased two separate tickets to the play, I just like it and had an okay time, but my friiend did not like it that much, I have already sent in my own review, the following is his review and comments.Written on Oct 19 2007
I did not enjoy the play, but I will give my two cents. It stated it contain partial nudity, mature adult content-I feel it is somewhat misleading about the part of the partial nudity, no doubt the play has mature adult content, but I would not necessary call it partial nudity where there is only had 2 cut out (small to medium size) circles on a man's rear pant partially showing the butt cheeks, partially because part of his custom cover the circles most of the time.
Even I did not enjoy the play, but some one might, and I hope this will not discourage and shy away people from going to the play because it is stated partial nudity and think that it is more then what it really is.

What happens when you add sexual innuendo to what is obviously a children's afternoon theatre??...the adults get bored and walk out at intermission. On the other hand, if you want to embarrass yourself by taking a date to see this show and display how poorly you choose your theatre, this is the show for you because you're going to be apologizing for the rest of the night. If LA Theatre is a box of chocolates and you never know what you're going to find, this dud is the throw away that should not be in the box in the first place.Written on Nov 05 2007

The production values and cast were good. The humor was very broad which I can appreciate but I was disappointed that two gay characters were shown as such extreme caricatures. Even in a play full of over the top characters these so over the top that they made me cringe. Erica Gabrielle was a highlight as the virgin love interest.Written on Oct 29 2007

More Information About Virgin Love
Description

Set on the fictitious Carribean island of Latinia, Virgin Love follows the exploits of Arlecchino, an young man who is burdened by an embarrassing secret...he is a virgin. His suffering is made all the more excruciating as he witnesses everybody else engaging in the act of love. By chance, he meets Leandro, a bachelor about town who visits the houses of several women while their husbands are away. The two men become fast friends when Leandro’s ears are tickled by the sweet voice of Bonita, a beautiful yet mathematically-challenged maiden. The friendship is solidified when Leandro decides to give up bachelorhood for true love. A deal is struck. Arlecchino will help Leandro win Bonita’s heart, in turn, Leandro will help Arlecchino rid himself of his condition. The comedy ensues as Arlecchino embarks on his quest to become a true man. Along the way, his chances are thwarted by encounters with capricious women, alcoholic wives, underappreciated husbands, sexually ambiguous couples, and the Bunny Messenger of the Gods.

Originally, produced by Theatre 6470 in 1993, this newly revamped and envisioned production brings new elements into the mix. Among them, the addition of Latin music which gives Virgin Love its RMRTC flavor. Various Latin styles such as salsa, merengue, ranchero and even polka make for a lively juxtaposition with the 18th century costuming. Add to it swashbuckling swordplay and Virgin Love promises to be a real crowd pleaser.
