Chrysta is smart, great with people, and has fantastic cakes and desserts. She is willing and excited to share information and really gives her all in the class. You have the opportunity to learn a lot! I would definitely sign up for another.

It was a really nice event. We learned how to make several different frostings and taste them next to each other which was really nice. She also can answer any questions about altering the main recipes a bit. The only thing I didn't like was that it's set up for groups of people, rather than everyone doing their own. So, you really spend more time watching than getting hands on experience.

My wonderful husband surprised me with the "What's on Top" class for our anniversary. And we had a great time. Chrysta is a wonderful instructor, very engaging, and quite funny! The kit was easy to read and follow. It was a small class; folks seemed to have enjoyed themselves too. The best part.... the overload of bundt cakes!!!! Can't wait to take another class or pick me up some more cake!

More Information About What's on Top? - Intro to Frostings Class

Description

What's on top of your cake should compliment, not overwhelm or overpower the cake itself. Good frosting isn't overly sweet and serves as an accent to your cake.

Students will learn nuances/differences between each frosting type, how to fill and manage/hold a decorating bag, frosting techniques, including "The Swirl" or Soft Serve Method, as well as "Push Down/Pull Up", Drop Flowers and Rosettes.

Students will leave with the knowledge of making Kiss My Bundt Bakery's award winning toppings a box of cakes they frosted in class.
