The story was trite. The songs were melodically forgetable.Written on Feb 17 2012

My husband and I went to see Daddy Long Legs on Wednesday evening.Written on Mar 01 2012
We loved the show. It had many high recommendations to live up to from friends and I must say it passed the grade with flying colors.
The female lead was in Les Miserables on Broadway and her voice was amazing and Daddy Long Legs was as tall as a daddy long legs!!!
Just the movement of the crates moving on stage kept my eyes busy.

A really sweet, heartwarming story. The singing was beautiful. You could have heard a pin drop in the audience as we were all swept into the world of the character's lives.Written on Feb 24 2012

Daddy Long Legs is a beautiful, gentle - but not without humor - musical. We put the cast CD right in the car on the way home.Written on Feb 23 2012

Description
MRT is excited to present Daddy Long Legs, a new musical from John Caird, the Tony and Olivier Award-winning director of Les Misérables and Nicholas Nickleby, and the creators of Jane Eyre. Set in 1912 New England, young Jerusha Abbott is given the opportunity to escape the orphanage she grew up in when an anonymous benefactor spots her potential and pays her way to attend university. As a condition of his generosity, she must write letters updating him on her progress, but he will never respond. What he does not expect is how charming and fascinating her letters will be, making his choice not to write back more difficult than he ever imagined.
