A Christmas Story: The Musical is the hilarious account of Ralphie Parker's desperate quest to ensure that the one thing he wants most in the world ends up under his Christmas tree: an official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. Based on the beloved 1983 holiday movie, Tony winner John Rando (Urinetown) directs this delightful musical comedy, which scored three Tony nominations this year and features funny and heartfelt songs by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, with a faithful yet inventive book by Joseph Robinette. Young and old alike will delight in watching Ralphie's wacky family muddle through the Yuletide with heart, humor and one incredibly tacky leg lamp. Learn More

The show was well done by the actors and I enjoyed their performance very much. The greater Lowell theatre left a lot to be desired. The theatre had a musty smell , was not well air conditioned , sound system was not clear and seats in the balcony were obstructed by hands rails . I'm disappointed my red velvet membership didn't afford me better seating. I will not attend another show at the Lowell theatre.I also question if will maintain my membership in the red velvet club.
Running time: Approximately 3 hours, including a 15 minute intermission.
This show is recommended for audiences ages 13 or older.
