Spend an elegant evening aboard the beautifully-rebuilt Schooner America 2.0 soaking up the sights and sipping champagne with friends, family or that special someone. This two-hour cruise sets out from Chelsea Piers, heads South down the Hudson River and out to see the magnificent Statue of Liberty. Then, if there's time and the wind is in her favor, the America 2.0 sails toward Governors Island and pokes her bow under the Brooklyn Bridge. Beer, wine and soft drinks are included on this premium excursion, as are the magnificent views of the famous skyline's spectacular twinkling lights. Added to the fleet in 2011, America 2.0 is modeled on vessels of the late 19th century, but was built with the eco-friendly cutting-edge technology of today for a safe and smooth sea voyage. In one word, the Sushi & Sake Sunset Sail is: MAGICAL! Sailing, yes sailing, past the NYC skyline as the sun is setting is beyond words. From the champagne poured as we set sail to the delicious sushi and sakes never before tasted -- sparkling...continued
Assorted cold sakes (including an organic Junmai Ginjo and a sparkling sake), champagne, wine, beer and soda will be provided. However, this is not an unlimited booze-cruise — the goal is to create an elegant, relaxing, peaceful and safe experience for all of our guests.
About the Ticket Supplier: Classic Harbor Line LLC
Built in 1994 in the Scarano Boat Building of Albany, New York, the Schooner Adirondack is an 80-foot wooden replica of a classic turn-of-the-century pilot schooner.
Heading south from Chelsea Piers and down the Hudson River to Battery Park, the Schooner Adirondack passes by Ellis Island and sails out to the Statue of Liberty. Wind and time permitting, she will head toward Governor’s Island, breeze by the Financial District and the Brooklyn Bridge on the East River.
The 1920s-style motor yacht “Manhattan,” also built by Scarano Boat Building, is brand new to the New York City harbor as of spring 2006. This 80-foot, wood-trimmed, Gilded Era commuter yacht runs full circumnavigations of Manhattan, dinner cruises and sunset cruises, and is available for private charter.
