Wonderful way to experience NY. We would highly recommend it. It was tailored to the tasting abilities of the participants, from novice to expert and we will certainly take another cruise when time permits!

Join Classic Harbor Line for their 2009 tasting series celebrating the wonderfully diverse and ever-changing world of wine. Each month, the event will focus on a different region, exploring the grapes, styles, soils, viticulture, and tasting techniques that will help you enjoy the place in your glass! These interactive tastings will be conducted by wine professional Wendy Crispell in a fun, relaxed atmosphere aboard the beautiful yacht Manhattan. Light tapas will be expertly paired to complement the evening’s wines.  This series is inspired by the 400th anniversary of New York. People from many cultures sailed into our harbor bringing regional cuisine and traditions that helped to make New York one of the most diverse culinary destinations in the world.

  • Taste five different wines from a specific region in the world

  • Learn the basics of tasting in a fun, informative setting

  • Find out what makes each wine different and unique

  • Discuss major styles, grape varieties, regions, trends and more

  • Enjoy light tapas paired with the specific wines of the evening

Don’t miss this opportunity to swirl, sniff, and taste your way down the Hudson. Relax in the beautifully enclosed solarium for this educational event as you cruise around Manhattan in style. Note that from June to August, special Saturday afternoon trips will be 45 minutes longer and will do a full circumnavigation of the island.

Climb aboard the _Manhattan _and witness the city’s beauty and elegance under the setting sun as you taste some of New York and Europe’s finest wines.

About the Ticket Supplier: Classic Harbor Line LLC

Built in 1994 in the Scarano Boat Building of Albany, New York, the Schooner Adirondack is an 80-foot wooden replica of a classic turn-of-the-century pilot schooner.

Heading south from Chelsea Piers and down the Hudson River to Battery Park, the Schooner Adirondack passes by Ellis Island and sails out to the Statue of Liberty. Wind and time permitting, she will head toward Governor’s Island, breeze by the Financial District and the Brooklyn Bridge on the East River.

The 1920s-style motor yacht “Manhattan,” also built by Scarano Boat Building, is brand new to the New York City harbor as of spring 2006. This 80-foot, wood-trimmed, Gilded Era commuter yacht runs full circumnavigations of Manhattan, dinner cruises and sunset cruises, and is available for private charter.
