Atlanta Lyric Theatre brings the biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors to vibrant life in this pop musical parable. An international audience favorite, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, Joseph is based on the story in Genesis of the young man who starts out having it all -- not only is he his father's favorite, but he's also a whiz at interpreting dreams and owns an envy-inducing multicolored coat. But after he's sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, he ends up in Egypt, where he rises through the ranks and grapples with the pharaoh -- who's portrayed in the hilariously flamboyant style of Elvis. Set to a high-energy mix of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock, this family-friendly Old Testament tale has proven to be truly timeless. Learn More

Marvelous performances, hosts, and an unbelievably grand organ with a (Famed)spectacular organist. The theater itself was newly restored to a 1930's art deco hollywood motif, everywhere you looked was interesting decor and simply put a recovered treasure for the people of Atlanta to behold. Free parking in a secure well maintained parking garage was an added bonus.
