The show was wonderful. This group of actors were very in touch with the 1940's. If you have a chance to see this performance, GO!

I was unable to attend, but my daughter took my 93 year old mother who had a wonderful time. They commented on the beauty of the theater. Mom enjoyed the music as she sang along..

About the Ticket Supplier: Theatre in the Square

Whether it seems like eons or only yesterday since Sept. 10, 1982 when the Theatre opened with On Golden Pond, one thing is certain: A lot has happened in this little theater. First, there have been 24 world premieres -- 11 of them developed or commissioned by the Theatre -- and countless regional premieres. No small accomplishment. And the more than 215 widely diverse productions over the years have been memorable for their moments of challenge and laughter, heartbreak and joyfulness. Some have made even more than just a splash of daring and controversy. One notable production even became the lightning rod in a controversy that got the Theatre worldwide media attention. But, regardless of the subject matter quality has always been the emphasis. That emphasis paid off in a lot of ways -- patron loyalty, citations and honors (the Governor's Award for the Arts, for one) and a string of "Bests" in recognition from newspaper reviewers and civic organizations. With the 2006-07 season, Theatre in the Square celebrated its silver anniversary, and it is still growing (4,000 season subscribers), staging diverse works, and showcasing the best acting, writing and technical talent the region has to offer.

The purpose of Theatre in the Square is to carry on a tradition of live theater as an important art form, as well as to provide the opportunity to enjoy or participate in professional theater for all citizens of metro-Atlanta and northwest Georgia. Theatre in the Square not only enhances the quality of life within the community, but also pays performers, technicians, directors, designers, and writers, thereby encouraging local theater artists to stretch their imaginations, expand their skills, and develop original works.

Theatre in the Square participates in local, regional and national outlets for showcasing our work and our community (i.e., arts festivals, media coverage, touring shows). As a result, it continues to be an integral part of the community and region by offering quality work and encouraging new talent. Consequently, it generates works that will appeal on a national level in representing the character, history, and assets of our region.
