I love Broadway
We got on the boat and head over to the wine tasting table. They handed us 4 tickets for a sampling of 2 reds or 2 whites - the wine was good. We headed over to the cheese and cracker table. Honestly, the quality of the food was no better than 7-11. We went upstairs to the deck, looked at each other and both knew what to do next.... we left the boat before it sailed on the 2 hour ride. All that in 10 minutes.Written on Sep 25 2008

The weather was perfect, the Marina was looking its best, the boat (the Zumbrota) is 90 years old but in excellent trim. The staff were friendly and efficient; the food wasn't lavish - this is a wine tasting, not a dinner - but it was all good. There was a table with bruschetta, cheese and crackers, and a steward circulating with finger foods - crab cakes, chicken and beef satay, egg rolls, firecracker chicken, and finally truffles (chocolates, not fungi).Written on Sep 25 2008
The wines on this cruise were all California: a Riesling, a Gewurtztraminer, a pinot noir, and a syrah (my favorite of the four). Again, this is a tasting, not a cocktail party; the pours were perfectly reasonable but not very big. The bar was open for those who were in more of a drinking mood.
All in all, a very pleasant evening. We will very likely do it again soon.

The high point was being on the water on a beautiful evening with friends. The wine tasting was mediocre at best. You were given 4 tickets for 4 glasses of wine, however, each glass was about an ounce of wine at the bottom of a monstrous goblet, which got smaller as the night went on because they ran out! Of course there was a bar where you could purchase more of the same wine or beer for $7 a glass, and there you would get a real pour in a plastic cup! The apps. were basic, the music was obnoxious and If you don't smoke, good luck trying to find some fresh air. I would not recommend this event.Written on Oct 23 2008
