At an Oklahoma farmhouse, the Weston patriarch goes missing. The family gathers hoping for good news, but instead find themselves coming to grips with old closeted skeletons and festering wounds that resurface. Populated with tour-de-force characters such as Violet, the prescription drug-addicted, chain-smoking, acid-tongued family matriarch, August: Osage County is a black comedy that has the mesmerizing effect of watching a deliciously choreographed train wreck of epic proportions. Tracy Letts' wickedly funny portrait of a truly American family won the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and a Tony Award for Best Play. Learn More

It was a small theatre so the actors were up close and it gave you a great way to feel their energy. While Danny & Sandy were the main characters, three others actually stood out for me. The young lady that played Frenchy was outstanding. Her expressions were adorable. Rizzo had a fantastic voice, dance skills, and showed real emotion that kept you wanting more. One other was the Teen Angel that sang to Frenchy. What a voice this young man has! His range is incredible and while he was onstage for a short time, he left an impression!
This production is recommended for teens and older, due to some adult language and content.
