TripAdvisor has included this tour on its list of "Best Things to Do in Miami" for the last two years, and it's easy to see why. You'll stroll along at a leisurely pace, covering about a mile, with plenty of seated restaurant breaks as your tour guide shares loads of fun facts. From five-star gourmet to hole-in-the-wall delicious, this tour uncovers the best cuisine of Miami's diverse melting pot with its predominately Latin, European and comfort-American influences. Little did me and my two Caucasian friends know, this cruise is scheduled the same weekend as Urban weekend in Miami. Upon arrival the two parking garage lots were full and they had just about tripled the parking cost from $10 to $25 because there was an event at the amphitheater right down the street. I was the last one to arrive and had to wait for someone to leave one of the lots in order to park. Chaos everywhere, no way to get your parking pass validated that you were not attending the event down the street.
We were instructed that the boarding began at 7:30 and the yacht would depart at 8pm. Far from it! The boarding was still going on well after 8:20pm. You think at that point you are going to well on your way, viewing the city lights and having a cocktail....not really. After waiting in line for quite some time, and viewing all of the bling, bling, girls butts hanging out of their shorts and listening to ebonics, we decided not to board for our own safety. We were definitely out of place and we all agreed this cruise was not for us! We are three sophisticated, classy ladies and were hoping for much more upon boarding a yacht. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the food, drinks, service or accommodations because we didn't even get inside.
Recommended attire is shorts and stilletos, fresh and trendy preferred.
