The Minnesota Historical Society offers a 90-minute walking tour of St. Paul's famed Summit Avenue, named one of America's "Great Streets" in 2008. This excursion highlights the Gilded Age mansions that populate this elite neighborhood, while the friendly and knowledgeable guides share the stories of both the architects who built them and the families that resided within these imposing structures. The social history of the area and current preservation issues will also be topics of discussion on this leisurely stroll, which begins outside the Hill House and ends outside the Cathedral of St. Paul. The play "A Man for All Seasons" was fantastic. They did a great job bringing the story of St Thomas More to life. The actors were high quality and they were able to do much with very little props. The story was believable and I think we were all crying by the end. I have seen the movie and it was very similar. The only thing I was dissapointed about was they didn't include my favorite line from the movie: "I am the King's good servant, but God's first!"
This production's approximate running time is 2 hours and 20 minutes, with a 15-minute intermission.
There's a concession counter with food and drink for purchase.
