Todd Glass brought a negativity to the room. I didn't find a lot of humor in his act. The sham wow ending was good - wish there were more this type of thing in his act. The first two acts were funny and worth the price of the ticket. I'll be back,...continued
Comedian Todd Glass may now be considered ineligible to be labeled a wunderkind — but he certainly was one, having launched his career in comedy at age 16. Since that precocious start, the Philadelphia native has developed into a polished performer with a bent for inventive material that often mocks the conventions of stand-up.
Todd opened for David Cross in a 30 city tour in 2009. He is currently on the road performing nationally with comedian/actor David Spade. Todd’s first CD Thin Pig with Comedy Central Records was recorded in Tempe, AZ and features an hour of Glass’ fantastic observations and stories.
No stranger to television, however, viewers got a thrill watching just Todd as one of the house finalists in the wildly successful seasons of the NBC reality series, Last Comic Standing 2 and _Last Comic Standing 3: Battle of the Best. _
Todd’s comedy is often satirical, sometimes irreverent but always funny. His television appearances are many, including performances on The Sarah Silverman Program, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Night With Conan O’Brien, Showbiz Show with David Spade, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn and_ Politically Incorrect._ With his unique delivery and divergent style of witticisms, Glass quickly becomes a host and viewer favorite.
Since arriving in L.A., Todd has amassed an impressive list of credits. He had guest appearances on such shows as ABC’s_ Home Improvement,_ NBC’s_ Friends_, and HBO’s Mr. Show. Todd has also become a veritable fixture on Comedy Central, recently headlining his own half-hour standup special _Comedy Central Presents: Todd Glass. _
Demonstrating his unwavering innovation, Todd co-created, co-executive produced and starred in Todd’s Coma, a pilot produced by Adam Sandler’s company Happy Madison for TBS. The much-praised, slightly twisted show, in which Todd’s curious family conducts interviews with visiting celebrities while he lies in a coma, attracted such celebrity guests as Ben Stiller, Fred Willard, Herb Alpert, Ray Romano and Arianna Huffington.
Todd is no stranger to working with talent. In addition to touring with David Spade, Todd has performed with Jack Black and Tenacious D earning high praise from Black himself: “I covet his ****ing brain!” His live performances (including appearances at the famed 2008 Montreal Just for Laughs Festival and the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival) have generated rave reviews from major publications. The_ Los Angeles Times_ praised his “freewheeling style and quick wit”, while Variety noted Todd is “crafty and sharp-edged”.
