How good is Camino Real, the Tennessee Williams play produced by Girl Friday Productions at the Minneapolis Theatre Garage? Well, the chief drama critic for The New York Times once declared it "Tennessee Williams's best play." Find out why as a stellar cast transports you to the mysterious and evocative city of Camino Real. Existing outside of time, this purgatory of lost souls is peopled with original Williams' characters and legendary figures from history and literature like Casanova, Camille, Lord Byron and Don Quixote. Charging into this dreamscape comes Kilroy, the quintessential American who challenges the real and imagined boundaries of the Camino Real. Benjamin McGovern (The Skin of Our Teeth) directs a 14-member ensemble playing an astonishing 40+ roles in this exciting, important production. Learn More

view more less of this reviewThis was such an enjoyable show! The director/actor Peter Moore did a fabulous job, as did the entire cast. Great evening!
star this review starred report as inappropriateNo knowledge of show business is needed to be thoroughly entertained by Shadowplay Theatre's production of "I Hate Hamlet". Peter Moore and Brandon Ewald are well balanced as the stars of playwright Paul Rudnick’s contemporary Broadway comedy. Shanan Custer, Nicole Joy Frethem, Paul Reyburn and Karen Weber provide excellent support.

Description
When successful television actor Andrew Rally moves to New York for the opportunity to play Hamlet on stage, he immediately encounters two problems: First, he hates Hamlet. Second, the beautiful apartment he's renting is haunted by the ghost of legendary actor John Barrymore. The two actors engage in a wildly funny duel over women, art, success, duty, television and, yes, the apartment.
The show is not recommended for children under the age of 12.
